- Scheduling. Our Tarrant chapter of referees
uses an online system called the Arbiter
Sports for scheduling referees. To aid in
setting up assignments, we ask that the schools input
their game schedules so we can assign the referees.
Process for entering schedules follows:
- Area Representative will contact the coaches and
adminstrator to confirm team(s) participation
- Schools submit information on fields that they
will be using
- Area Reps will submit school user information
and filed information to the executive team for
arbiter setup
- Schools will receive user id's and can be begin
entering team schedules
- Schools needing assistance in entering schedules
should contact their area rep. (Don't be surprised
if we contact the schools first to deterine status
of schedules)
- Our assignor will then starting making referee
assignments.
NOTE Nearly half of all games are played
during the month ofJanuary. We begin assigning January
games in December and so ask that coaches get their
schedules entered by the beginning of December.
- Who should you call?. Please contact Bonnie
Wick for schedules and referee assignments. Although
Bonnie might call to ask about a specific referee's
performance, this is not an invitation for you to call
her for anything other than schedules and assignment.
Concerns, complaints, etc should be directed to your
Area representative. Contact information for reps can
be found on the Area Reps
Page.
- Rules Questions If you have questions about
NF rules on soccer, please contact our training
officer who can liasie with the Rules Interpreter for
Texas. His contact information can be found on our Executive Team Page. If
you aren't sure, please ask. No one wants to
disqualify a player for a misinterpretation of the
rules by either the coach or the official. All
inquiries are accepted especially the more common ones
regarding uniform, equipment, jewelry and religious
garments or symbols. State Rules Interpreter responses
will be sent to the officials' community. We suggest
that coaches keep the responses with their game papers
in case they need to be referred to at game time. The
latest rulings can also be found on this website at
the following link: Rulings.
- How to submit referee evaluations?. Referee
feedback can be entered directly into the Arbiter
Sports website. If additional space or information is
required, please use a TASO evaluation form on our
website. Coaches should download the form, fill it out
and then send it to either the Chapter Secretary or
the Chapter Trainer. The form can be be found on our Forms Page and email addresses
can be found on our Executive
Team Page
- Scrimmage Notice . All scrimmages between
schools should have TASO assigned refs per UIL rules.
Refs are not to be paid but rather, the TASO chapter
is to be paid for their services. Rate is $50 for 3
hours and $25 for each additional hour. Refs will
provide forms for the reimbursement (also found here).
- UIL Roster. The only accepted form for game
report/roster is the official one published by
TASO/UIL. You can find it here: Word Format.
Please note that all TASO referees have been
instructed to accept no other document and will not
start the game unless one is provided. Game reports
must be submitted to the referee crew 10 minutes
before the game. Coaches can add names to the roster
after submission.
- Reschedules/Cancellations?. Weather related
cancellations should be reported to Bonnie Wick no
later than 4 hours before game time. Other reschedules
or cancellations should be submitted to Bonnie at
least 72 hours before game time.
